Betty Lou Miller, 83, of Weatherford, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007. She was born March 24, 1924, in Joplin, Missouri, to Benjamin and Orpha Jane Craig. Betty Lou retired from the Texas State Department of Public Health and moved to Weatherford in 1986. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church where she loved to help out in the nursery rocking and loving the babies as well as playing the piano for the children’s choir, and the Campbell Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest daughter, Orpha Jane Miller.
She is survived by her daughters, Vivian Heep and husband, Jerry of Weatherford, Mary S. Miller and husband, Rick Bullon of Peaster, son, Thomas Earl Miller, Jr. and wife, Yong Kum of Fort Worth; brother, Benjamin Day Craig, Jr. of Overland Park, Kansas; granddaughters, Nikki Heep of Crowley, Sabrina Heep of Weatherford, Julynn Benedetti of New York, Christine Miller of Stow, Ohio, and Samantha Scott of Houston; and grandsons, Thomas E. Miller III of Denton, and Benjamin Scott of Arlington.
Services will be at Southside Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., with burial at Tin Top Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
