Belinda Gayle Haney Porco

  Belinda Gayle Porco, age 55, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, died on Monday, March 19, 2007, in Mechanicsville. She was born November 29, 1951, in Weatherford, Texas, where she was raised and graduated Weatherford High School in 1969. 

  During her marriage to Michael, who was in the Air Force for 20 years, Belinda lived in Mississippi, California, North Carolina, and finally Maryland. She was a homemaker, Police Communications Officer in Homestead, Florida and North Richland Hills, Texas, received her State of Florida Police Officers Certification in 1987 and was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church, in Weatherford. She enjoyed gardening and reading. 

  Belinda was preceded in death by her brother, Carrol Wayne Haney, in 1971.  

  She is survived by her husband, Major Michael Vincent Porco USAF Retired of Mechanicsville, Maryland; parents, Burie H. and Ruth Haney of Weatherford; other relatives including aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2007, in the Center Point Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Center Point Cemetery.     

  Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
