Barbara Ann Stotts, a dearly cherished mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the age of 97. She was born on February 12, 1929, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Carroll and Myrna Largent, and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and quiet strength.
Barbara shared a lifelong partnership with her husband, Freddie M. Stotts of Norway, Iowa, and together they raised three children. She was known for her gentle spirit, deep sensitivity, and perceptive nature, with a remarkable ability to understand and care for others. Her warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She dedicated much of her career to serving others as a personal banker with Bank of America in Beverly Hills, California. Following her retirement, she and her husband moved to Weatherford, Texas, to be closer to family. There, she became an active member of North Side Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with friends, especially playing cards and her favorite game, Pinochle.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Myrna Largent; her beloved husband, Fred Stotts; her daughter, Linda Stotts; and her son, Mark Stotts.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Fred C. Stotts and his wife, Kathy; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the love and legacy she so gently nurtured.
No services are planned at this time. Barbara’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
