Barbara Jo Payne, 65, of Arlington, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at an Arlington hospital. Barbara was born June 6, 1942, in Lancaster, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, and loved spending time with her family and her best friend and companion “Prissy.”
She is survived by her daughters, Rita Rexrode and husband, Alan of Round Rock, Tammy Thornberry and husband, Bruce of Arlington, and Teresa Wagner and husband, James of Weatherford; sisters, Billie James, Margaret Ponder, Nita Bruce, and Fayrene Cottle; brothers, Buck Honea and David Honea; grandchildren, Melissa and Steven, Ashley, Amber, Ryan, and Chase; step grandchildren, Latisha, Jennifer, and Michael; great grandchildren, Bailey and her baby brother, due to arrive in November; and step great grandchildren, Austin, Kiley, Kamren, and Korieana; and her best friend “Prissy.”
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2007, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
