Barbara Ann Conklin

Barbara Ann Conklin, 87, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Barbara was born June 11, 1936, in Weatherford, Texas, to her parents, the late Marion Ray and the late Willie (Jackson) Portwood. She was also preceded in death by husband, James "Jim" Conklin, Jr.; brothers, Don W. Ray and Lee Roy Ray; and son-in-law, Steven Michael "Mike" Kenaley.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for Jamak in assembly, but her primary calling was that of a devoted homemaker while being a military spouse for over 20 years. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing Bingo at the senior center, and going on gambling trips to WinStar.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Terry Lynn Kenaley; grandson and his wife, Josh Kenaley (Deann); granddaughter and her husband, Erin Tillery (Dusty); great-grandchildren, Joseph Kenaley, Jesse Kenaley, Stella Kenaley, and Dylan Tillery; sisters, Vevelean Devrow (Tommy), Evelyn Keele (Harlin), Valerie Meador (Jeff); sister-in-law, Mary Lou Ray; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, at 9:15 a.m., at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas.
