Avert Earl “Jack” Williamson, 94, of Weatherford, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010. Jack was born June 27, 1916, in Roby, Texas, to Calvin and Margaret Williamson. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and was employed with General Dynamics for many years. Jack was a Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.
His parents, four brothers, and three sisters, precede him in death. Jack was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; daughters, Betty Peoples and husband, Melvin of Weatherford, and Earnestine Sutherland and husband, Luke of Mansfield; son, Bobby Williamson and wife, Colita of Euless; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
