Arnold Neal Laird, age 60, of Weatherford, died on Saturday, March 28, 2009, in the Weatherford Hospital. Born August 7, 1948, in Casa, Arkansas, a resident of Weatherford for several years. He was a sheet metal technician, and member of the Lakeside Church of God. Mr. Laird loved photography, loved to draw, loved the outdoors, and he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Laird and his mother, Johnnie Jaunita (Eason) Laird of Fort Worth.
Survivors: Sons, Jason Neal Laird of Benbrook, Arnold Eason Laird of Weatherford, and Mitchum Clay Laird of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Lagala Fugate of Dahlonega, Georgia; grandsons, Seth Laird, Johnny Laird, Elijah Laird, Dallas Kilcrease Ryan Laird, and Noah Laird; granddaughters, Sharahya Fugate, Deanna Fugate, Briana Laird, and Rebecca Laird; brothers, Kenneth D. Laird of Weatherford and Wayne (Laird) Higgins of Savannah, Georgia; and sisters, Evelyn G. (Laird) Hyatt and Audrey L. (Laird) Brown.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2009, in the Center Point Church of God, with interment in the Tyson Cemetery, in Denton, Texas. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
