Andy Lee “Jerry” Brooks
February 13, 1935 – September 14, 2026
Andy Lee “Jerry” Brooks went home to be with Jesus on September 14, 2026, at the age of 91.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Jerry knew what a special man he was. He had a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and never hesitated to be there for someone in need.
Jerry grew up on Possum Kingdom Lake, surrounded by his siblings and family. It was there that his love for fishing began—a love that stayed with him throughout his life. He also had a great love for music, animals, and simply being surrounded by the people he cared about.
Later in life, Jerry met the love of his life, Johnnie Brooks. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, music, singing, and dancing. The two shared a special kind of love, and Johnnie remained deeply treasured in Jerry’s heart after her passing.
Above all else, Jerry loved Jesus with all his heart. His faith was at the center of his life, and there is great comfort in knowing that the Jesus he loved and trusted throughout his life was there to welcome him home.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his beloved wife, Johnnie. Though our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye, we rejoice knowing that Jerry is home with Jesus and reunited with those he has missed for so long.
We can only imagine the beautiful reunion that awaited him—embracing his family once again and, most especially, being reunited with his beloved Johnnie, his singing and dancing partner for life.
Jerry leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, love, and countless memories that will continue to be cherished by everyone who was blessed to know him.
Until we meet again, keep singing, dancing, and fishing in Heaven.
