Allen “Curtis” Mc Bride, 79, of Weatherford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday evening, October 10, 2018, in Fort Worth.
Visitation services celebrating his life will be held from 6 until 8 P.M., Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the Galbreith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A graveside committal service will be held at 11 A.M., on Wednesday, October 17, at Paradise Cemetery in Wise County, Texas.
Curtis was born on November 10, 1938, in Vineyard, Texas to Jesse James and Oleta Estelle Mc Bride. He married Margaret Ann Dillon on April 17, 1978. Curtis was the founder and owner of Mc Bride Automotive in Weatherford. He enjoyed fishing and his annual trips to Las Vegas. Most of all, Curtis will be remembered for his love of his family – particularly his grandchildren.
Curtis is survived by his children, Curtis (Sheryl) Mc Bride, Gary (Kelly) Mc Bride, Jesse (Kori) Mc Bride, Kenneth Hartley (Jeana) Hartley, Janet Hartley, and April (Eric) Palmgren; 12 grandchildren; and by 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Ann in 2003; his son, Alan Hartley 1999; and by his brothers, Tommy, Dewey, Raymond and Melvin “Carl” Mc Bride.
