In Loving Memory of Alfredo Torres
September 12, 1946 – May 3, 2026
Alfredo Torres, beloved husband, father, tío, godfather, mentor, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on May 3, 2026.
Alfredo was born on September 12, 1946, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was raised alongside his three brothers and is survived by his brother, Juan Torres. He made his home in El Paso, California, and eventually settled in Weatherford, Texas in 2012.
For 55 beautiful years, Alfredo shared a deep and devoted love with his wife, Beatrice Torres, the love of his life. Together they built a life centered around faith, family, laughter, and unconditional love.
Although Alfredo had no biological children, he lovingly helped raise eight children as his own and was a cherished godfather to many. He was deeply loved by his 11 grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride. Alfredo had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Alfredo was known for his love of music, often singing and playing guitar for family and friends. He loved Western cowboy culture, especially John Wayne movies, and found joy in God’s creation through fishing, hiking, camping, animals, and nature. Many children and family members will forever treasure memories of adventures with him outdoors and the famous store in the trunk of his car that became a place for funny jokes and endless treats for so many.
Above all, Alfredo will be remembered for the way he loved… deeply, faithfully, and unconditionally.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 16, 2026, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas.
His family rejoices knowing that while he is absent from the body, he is present with the Lord.
