Adell Pope

  Adell Pope, age 82, of Weatherford, died Wednesday night, June 4, 2008, in a local nursing facility. Born June 23, 1925 in Weatherford, where she had lived all her life. A 1943 graduate of Weatherford High School and she married the love of her life Joe Pope April 3, 1946. Adell was a homemaker and a member of the Couts Memorial United Methodist Church. 

  Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pope in 1999; one sister, Rose Jordan; and two brothers, Emile Jumez and Ernest Jumez. 

  Survivors: daughter, Kaye Martin and husband, Frank of Weatherford; son, Alan Pope and wife, Becky of Weatherford; five grandchildren, Lara Cavazos (Carlos), Melisa Prentice (Stan), Karyn Roberts (Jason), Kimberly Allen (Nick), Joey Pope (Emily); seven great grandchildren, Cross, Trystan Prentice, Nate, Olivia, Sophia Cavazos, Emily Allen, and Ethan Roberts.  

  Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, June 9, 2008, in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
