Addie Simpson

  Addie Simpson, 94, of Weatherford, died Saturday, December 6, 2014. Born February 16, 1920, in Jacksboro, Texas, a resident of Weatherford and Parker County for many years, she was retired from WISD, and a member of the Newberry Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved RV camping, sewing, games and her family.  

  Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Hoyte Simpson; parents, Jessie Wyett and Willie Nora Wood; brothers, George Wood, L. T. Wood, James Condy Wood (killed in World War II), and Robert Lee Wood; sisters, Leta Wood Williams, Bertha Wood Stephenson Bionisi, and infant sister, Jessie Nora Wood.

Daughter – Carol Curtis and husband Don of Weatherford
Son – Wilford Simpson and wife, Barnita of Millsap
Sister – Shirley Lorene Tiechman of Mineral Wells
Brother – J. W. Wood of Jacksboro

  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014 in the Newberry Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the Newberry Cemetery. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangement. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the Newberry Cemetery Association
