Acey Bob Carter, 61, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2015. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Acey will always be remembered for his big heart, cheerful smile and loyalty.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen, of 31 years; son, Scott Carter and wife, Meg; daughter, Sabrina Carter; grandchildren, Tony, Cheyenne, and Skylar; step-daughter, Brandi VanNatta and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Anna, Cameron, Madison; step-son, Cody Hogg; father, Coy Carter; brother, David Carter and wife, Maxine; sister, Paula Roberson and husband, Mike; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Acey was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Jean Carter.
Acey was born to Coy and Bobbie Jean Carter, on May 18, 1954, in Weatherford, Texas, and was a lifetime resident. He was a graduate of Weatherford High School; from a bull rider to an antique hunter, he was always full of adventure. Acey loved working with his hands, a craftsman of wood and builder of hot rods. He and his wife, Karen, enjoyed traveling to antique shows and yard sales in search of the ultimate treasure. Acey worked for Carter Farms for many years in addition to owning Arrow Star Furniture Primitive and Ranch Décor, with his wife.
Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at The Parker County Sheriffs Posse, 2251 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford, Texas.
The service will be held at the New River Hudson Oaks Campus at 3252 East I-20, Weatherford, Texas, on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at the Tin Top/New Prospect Cemetery. Fellowship will be held at the Sheriffs Posse afterwards.
