Xenophen Vlahopoulos

March 23, 1927 — September 23, 2010

Xenophen Vlahopoulos, 83, of Weatherford passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 in a local care facility.  Xen was born March 23, 1927 in Catskill, New York to Stella and Anthony Vlahopoulos.  Mr. Vlahopoulos served in the United States Army in Germany during World War II.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Club in Cleburne.  Xen retired from civil service and was a carpenter by trade.  He enjoyed his woodwork and built his home at age 76.  He loved to dance in his later years and spending time with family and friends.  His parents preceded him in death.  Survivors include his sons, Xen Vlahopoulos and wife Susie and their children, Kaila, Nikole and Alykx and Tony Vlahopoulos and son Alex and his mother, Barbara; and a sister Catherine Kapanicas.  A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Greenwood Baptist Church.
