Winona Faye Jones

Winona Faye (Williams) Jones, passed from this life on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at age 76. She was born to Hendrix Earl Williams and Sybil Carmen (Burns) Williams on June 27, 1946, in Weatherford, Texas. Winona was dedicated to her family; she treasured and embraced every moment with them. Among her many interests, she was a skilled floral designer and enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles.

Winona will be most remembered for her charitable spirit. Her giving nature was evident in her volunteerism at her local church, First United Methodist Church of Weatherford, where she became a full-time staff member as the nursery coordinator, as well as other roles for the Church. She also volunteered for the community of Weatherford in the local public library; she specialized in the Genealogy Department. Winona will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her for her unconditional love.

Winona is survived by her brother, Ron (Teresa) Williams of Weatherford; sister, Elizabeth Williams of Fort Worth; Carmen (Bill) Williams; Susan Dugger; Gerald Williams; Lloyd (Susan) Williams; Michael (Bernie) Williams; Matthew Williams; and many great nieces & great nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Luther "Chuck" Williams.

Private Burial will be at Annetta Cemetery, her family invites all to attend a Celebration of Life memorial service which will be scheduled at a later date, and will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Weatherford.
