Winnie Lenora Faye (Nix) Warren

February 12, 1929 — March 19, 2022

Winnie Lenora Faye (Nix) Warren left for her heavenly home on March 19th, 2022, at the age of 93.

She was born February 12, 1929, in Weatherford, Texas to George & Snowie Belle Nix, and had two younger siblings, Joe Dale Nix and Georgia (Nix) Phillips. Lenora was a resident of Weatherford for most of her life, she graduated from Weatherford High School and attended Weatherford College. She was employed at City Hall, she later married Joe Warren and became a devoted homemaker and mother of three children: Roger Dale, Lonnie Ray, and Joie Marie. Lenora was a talented musician, she loved making music with the family and often in church whether it be by way of the piano, guitar, banjo, mandolin, or accordion. Many other aprons she wore, as gardener, handy woman, domestic engineer, a kind and welcoming neighbor, friend, encourager, counselor, prayer warrior, teacher, worshipper, nurse, and confidant. She loved her grandkids and always saw there were memories made at their home. More than anything, she gave glory to the one who FIRST loved her and gave himself in our Lord Jesus Christ, and unwavering confidence of His word and promises being true, has been widespread and implanted in the family and others to continue. Eternal love and gratitude to our mother, Lenora Warren.

She was preceded in death by, husband, Joe Warren, parents, George and Snowie Bell Nix, grandson, Roger Dale Warren Jr., and brother, Joe Dale Nix. 

Survived by her children, their spouses, grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren: Roger Warren and wife Linda of Houston, TX (grands) Sandi Loudamy, Danielle Gann, and Kim Merwin. Lonnie Warren and wife Terry of Arlington, TX. (grands) Tiffany Desloges, Meredith Barriteau, and Kaley Geralds. Joie (Warren) Woody and Craig of Peaster, TX. (grands) Chad Woody, Reagan Morrow, Cason Woody. Sister, Georgia, many nieces and nephews, friends, in-laws, and families.
