Wilma Lowene Benson

Wilma Lowene Benson, age 87, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Weatherford, Texas.  Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Couch
Wilma was born January 26, 1927 to Alvie and Maggie Shafer in Huntsville, Alabama. She was a longtime resident of Weatherford.  Wilma was a member of Couts Methodist Church. 
Survivors: son, Mark W. Benson and wife, Darlene of Weatherford, TX; grandson, Garrett Reed Benson of Weatherford, TX; sister, Peggy Joy Norman of Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Elsie “Moose” Shafer of Camp Wood, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Benson; parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
