Waymond Fant Torbett

Waymond Fant Torbett, 92, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in a Fort Worth hospital. Waymond was born on February 5, 1929 in Fort Worth, Texas to Willie Amos and Marie Null Torbett. He retired from the United States Postal Service after many dedicated years of service. Waymond was a faithful member of Couts Memorial United Methodist Church and enjoyed golfing, basketball and baseball. He will be remembered for the time he spent coaching and officiating the youth. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda Torbett and his daughter-in-law, Barbara Torbett. 

Waymond leaves behind his sons, Ricky Torbett and wife Pam, Larry Torbett and wife Marcia and Weldon Torbett, all of Weatherford; three grandchildren, Landon Torbett, Meagan Ely and Caitlin Torbett; and eight great grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church.
