Wanda Lou Dendy

Wanda Lou Dendy passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Weatherford Texas.  Born June 14, 1936 to Ernest and Erna Marks in Winters Texas; Wanda was one of eight children.  There in Winters Texas she met and married Richard Dendy in April 1957.  Together they moved to Weatherford in 1972 where they raised their two children.  A homemaker and Fort Worth Star Telegram distributor, Wanda was also a proud member of North Main Church of God.  She made friends everywhere she went.
Wanda leaves behind her beloved husband of almost 57 years, Richard; her daughter Vanessa Bailey and her husband Jim; two grandchildren Brian Bailey, Carrie Ann Howard and her husband Drew; two great grandchildren Carter and Ryder Howard; and brother Robert Marks and his wife Janice.  Wanda was preceded in death by her son Mark Dendy, sister Ernestine Chipps, brother Jerry Marks, three half-brothers and a half sister and her parents.


A visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 from noon to 1:00p.m. at North Main Church of God.  A funeral service will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at North Main Church of God in Weatherford at 1:00 p.m.
