Wanda Kay Mercer

Wanda Kay Mercer, 58, of Weatherford passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 in a Weatherford care facility.  Wanda was born January 25, 1953 to Ruby Marie and Grady Leon Blackmon and was one of twelve children.
 
Wanda was a homemaker and loved her cats.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Mercer, in July of 2000.  Three brothers, Daniel Howard, Lester Leon and Roy Lee Blackmon, also preceded her in death.
 
Survivors include her children, Jeannie Mercer and Bobby Vance Mercer; sisters and brothers, Oleta Herrring of Weatherford, Coleta Leatherwood of Caulfield, Missouri, Bonnie Shuguart of Weatherford, Carolyn Roberson of Palestine and Frances Vick of Agnes, David Marley Blackmon of Fort Worth, Darrell Wayne Blackmon of Weatherford and James Earnest Blackmon of Springtown.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Curtis Cemetery in Weatherford.  Visitation is from 7 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
