Walter Raymond Perz

Raymond W. Perz joined friends and family in heaven August 5, 2022. He was better known as Ray, Dad and Poppy. He was born on July 2, 1941 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He graduated from John Carroll University in 1963 with a degree in marketing and joined Sears Roebuck and Co. soon afterwards. He was a regional hard line manager for the last 10 years of his career and retired in 1993.

Ray was married to his wife Pat for 57 years, moved to Arizona and then to Weatherford in 2007 where he became a member of St. Stephens parish. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid golfer with a single digit handicap, enjoyed working out daily and caring for his yard.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Pauline, step-mother Lena and sister Barbara. Ray is survived by his loving wife Pat, daughter Kim and Greg, granddaughters Lauren and Audrey, Son, Jim and Lori, grandchildren Westley and Stephanie, Hayden, and great-grandchild Lhiam and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral services are Friday, August 12 at 11:00 with Fr. Emmett O'Hara at St. Stephens chapel.
