Violet J. Verstraete

Violet J. Verstraete, 75, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014.  Violet was born August 7, 1939 in Rockford, Illinois to Mary Frances and James Edward Burt.
Mrs. Verstraete moved to Weatherford in 1982.  She was a member to the Saint Stephens Parish.
Violet is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Darlene McCourt and Robert Burt.
Survivors include her husband, Vic; children, Robin Mirikitani her husband, Brent of Lakewood Ranch, FL., Victor Verstraete his wife, Kathi of Fort Worth, son, Matthew Verstraete of Panama and daughter, Carrie Criswell her husband, Wes of Weatherford; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


A funeral mass will be Friday, 10 a.m., Saint Stephens Catholic Church.  Visitation is Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
