Vinita was born in Stratford, Oklahoma on February 7, 1929. She was the second child of five children born to Henry Lee Bullock and Etta Beatrice Bullock. She was married to Billy Joe Woodle in 1946 until his death in 1952. She then married James C. Hall, Jr. in December 1954 and they remained married until his death in 1991. They lived in Fort Worth, Texas until 1970 when they moved to Weatherford, Texas. They settled into their country life in Weatherford and made many friends.

Vinita worked at American Life and Accident Company in Fort Worth as an Accounting Supervisor for 22 years. She retired in 1983 at age 55. To add interest to her life, she worked full time for four years and part time for one year as a teacher’s assistant at Aledo Elementary School. Afterward, she continued to volunteer to help first graders with reading. Aledo ISD honored her volunteerism with a nomination for the State of Texas Heroes for Children Award.

Vinita had many talents and enjoyed many hobbies. She had a green thumb and took great pride in showing her latest blooming flowers or vegetables growing. She shared the surprise and joy of digging up a potato under a potato plant with her grandchildren. She grew and cooked the best okra and black-eyed peas around. She also was famous for her “Granny Rolls” at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She served as the church treasurer of Centerpoint Baptist Church for many years. She could be counted on to be a Sunday School Teacher, Discipleship Training Leader, Vacation Bible School Leader, and visitor to the sick and shut in members of the church.

Other hobbies Vinita participated in were painting, making crafts, and sewing. She hemmed many pants and dresses and altered numerous clothes for people. She was a talented, fast, and creative seamstress.

She had a loving and giving heart with an always ready smile. She told good stories and had an infectious laugh. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
