Vicki Lynn Pitts

Vicki Lynn Griffin Pitts passed away into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday Jan 31, 2022, at the age of 74. Vicki was born in Paris, Texas on November 19, 1947 to Ray Edward and Margaret Lois Griffin. She was the oldest of 9 children so she spent all of her days loving and caring for everyone in her life. Vicki fell in love with and married Johnnie Lee Pitts on May 17, 1969 (even though he was an Okie ;) while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They moved from Ft. Worth to Austin and raised their 2 daughters there while Johnnie worked at the post office. Vicki was a secretary/ legal secretary for more than 30 years and always amazed everyone with her smile and typing speed ;). After Johnnie's retirement from the post office they returned to DFW to be closer to her loving parents in Azle. After Vicki's retirement she was able to spend more time being Nanny to her grandkids, spending time with family (that was the most important thing to her) and crocheting thousands of blankets in every color and pattern you can imagine. 

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents: Eddie and Lois Griffin and sister-in-law Terri Griffin. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Johnnie Pitts, daughter Kendra Nelson & son-in-law Jeremy Nelson of Weatherford, and daughter Kellie Pitts of Cedar Park, three precious grandchildren- Griffin, Gracie and Grady, her brothers and sisters & their spouses: Diane & Gary Spooner, Johnny Griffin, Debbie & Mike Conner, Steve & Danna Griffin, Lori Griffin, Terry Griffin, Ricky Griffin, and Scott & Tracy Griffin, and many more nieces, nephews & cousins whom she adored being Aunt Vicki to!

Services will be held on Saturday February 5, 2022 at North Side Baptist Church: 910 N Main St, Weatherford, TX 76086, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to American Diabetes Association in her name.
