Vernon Lovell Guerry

Vernon Lovell Guerry, 86, of Weatherford passed away Friday, March 4, 2016. Vernon was born March 21, 1929 in Advance, Texas to Irvin and Irene Tinker Guerry. He was a retired mail carrier for Weatherford Post Office and former employee of Armour Company. Vernon was a lifelong member of Eureka Baptist Church and a member of The Masonic Lodge in Whitt. He enjoyed playing dominoes and watching sports, especially the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.  Vernon is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth; daughters, Cheryl Hobson and husband Gerald of Peaster and Carla Layton and husband Todd of Weatherford; sister, Frances Long of Irving; three grandchildren, Haley Hobson, Jacey Hobson and Alex Layton.
