Uriah Nicholas Stout (Nick), 86, passed from this life on Veterans Day, November 11, 2023. Nick was born December 4, 1936, in Graford, Texas to the late Seth and Antonia (Holloway) Stout. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty Lynell Stout.
Nick was a loving father to his daughter & son-in-law, Nikki and Kendall Witt; son & daughter-in-law, Bill and Cathy Stout; a doting grandfather to four grandchildren, Emily Witt, Nick Witt, Cody Stout, and Sidney Stout; and a wonderful brother to sister & husband, Barbara and Jim Pratt; and sister, Faye Culp.
Nick will be remembered for his service to his country in the United States Air Force where he had a long, distinguished career. He was an avid outdoorsman. Nick enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing; he was also a gunsmith and gun collector. He liked reading, but he especially loved the Bible and had committed scripture to memory.
Nick will be honored with full military honors at a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, at Dilbeck Cemetery in Peaster, Texas.
No visitation is scheduled at this time.
