Tommy Marcus Winblood

June 25, 1942 — August 31, 2017

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, Tommy Marcus Winblood went to his Heavenly Home after an unexpected complication of cancer treatment at MD Anderson in Houston Texas. He fought the good fight with Grace and Faith for his family. Tommy was born June 25th, 1942 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Marshall Andrew Winblood and Edna Mae Winblood. His brothers, Marshall R Winblood and David E Winblood preceded him in death. Raised on the west side of Fort Worth, Tommy met Shirley Karnes Winblood while attending Arlington Heights High School. They enjoyed a loving marriage for 53 years before Shirley passed in October of 2014. Tommy & Shirley have three children. Daughter Tonya Cook and husband Trey of Houston whose children are Travis, Emily, and Garrett; daughter Tammie Crockett and husband Jimmy of Brock and children Carson, Dustin, and Sheay; son Mark Winblood and wife Sheri of Weatherford and children Bethany, Diane, DeAnn, and Duane.
Tommy served for many years as a Deacon at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford Texas. Tommy and Shirley also served as Sunday School department directors for young married couples at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford.
Tommy was blessed with a second marriage to Nelda Winblood on July 15th, 2016. They enjoyed a year of love, adventures, and time with their combined families.
