Ted Ray Cranford

Ted Ray Cranford, 77, of Weatherford passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010.  Ted was born November 20, 1932 in Perrin, Texas to Reuben and Beulah Heath Cranford.

Ted was a graduate of Perrin High School, attended Tarleton College and earned his Bachlor’s Degree from Texas A&M University.  He served in the ROTC and the US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky.  He married Patsy Strickland on September 25, 1954 in Boonsville, Texas.

Mr. Cranford was Manager of Distribution at Deutz Allis Corporation.  He retired in 1987 after thirty-three years of employment, enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.  He was a member of Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church.

Mr. Cranford is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife Patsy; children, Stephen R. Cranford of Round Rock, Debora McIntosh of Fort Worth, Diana Cranford of San Diego, CA and Kelly Paul Cranford of Brock; grandsons, Shawn, Matthew and Timothy Cranford of Round Rock and Nathan and Connor Cranford of Brock; sister, Bettye Antwine of Tyler; sister-in-law, Doris Cranford of Fort Worth and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.


A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2010 at Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Perrin Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church building fund or the American Heart Association.
