T.C. "Buddy" Moore

January 30, 1935 — February 5, 2019

T.C. "Buddy" Moore of Hudson Oaks, TX, loving husband and devoted father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2019 at age 84.
Buddy was born in Amarillo, TX in 1935. Attending Amarillo schools, he graduated from
Amarillo High School in 1953. Shortly thereafter he married his high school sweetheart Marita
Jo Ratliff. Buddy served for over 7 years in the Army National Guard, achieving the rank of
Master Sergeant. After taking a job with Moore Business Forms, Buddy was transferred to Midland, TX, Kansas City, KS, Wichita, KS, and Fort Worth, TX serving and leading people for 35 years. He coached city-league junior high football, and men’s slow pitch softball in a church league.
Buddy was well known as an adult Sunday School teacher for more than 45 years, teaching in churches in Wichita, KS, N Richland Hills, TX and Granbury, TX. He loved studying the Bible and sharing it with others. While living in Wichita, KS, Buddy was on the lay staff of the Navigators for the state of Kansas. He served as a fundraiser for the Cornerstone Assistance Network in N Richland Hills, TX and after moving to Granbury, helped raise money for the present day sanctuary at Lakeside Baptist Church. He served on the Board of Directors for Center of Hope after moving to Hudson Oaks in 2008.
Buddy and Marita shared a passion for traveling across the US in their motor home with their friends, making three trips to Alaska and many other coast to coast jaunts. They enjoyed a trip to Hong Kong and Taiwan on one occasion.
Survivors include Marita Moore, the love of his life and wife of 65 years, his son Randy Moore and his wife Rachel, his daughter Melody Josserand and her husband Bill and four grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m, Monday, February 11, 2019 at Galbreaith-Pickard Hilltop Chapel 4941 I20 Frontage Road Willow Park, TX with a visitation beginning at 10a.m. Burial will follow at 2p.m., February 12 in Amarillo, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Alzheimer’s Association.
