Sunny Kathryn Selmon

May 26, 1943 — September 5, 2022

Sunny Kathryn Selmon, of Weatherford, passed away on September 5, 2022. Sunny was born May 26, 1943, in Tyler, TX to George David Waters and Juanita Magee. Sunny grew up in east Texas. After high school she attended Nancy Taylor business school, after which she worked for the FBI. Following that, she worked for Bell Helicopter where she met her husband, Billy. They lived in Bedford, Texas for many years where they raised their kids before moving out to Weatherford, Texas, where they spent their retirement years together enjoying rodeos, church festivities, and a ton of Mexican food. She loved horses and her beautiful garden – red and yellow roses were her favorites. She loved playing the piano for her friends and family. She immediately made a room brighter and more beautiful just by walking through the door. She loved to laugh.

Sunny was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billy G. Selmon; son, Craig Stone and wife Crystal Stone of Lubbock; step-sons, Gerald Selmon of Houston and Scott Selmon of Austin; daughter, Paula Jordan and husband Craig Jordan of Springtown; daughter, Shelly Selmon of Fort Worth; brother Denny Waters and wife Phyllis Waters; grandsons, Josh Stone, Adam Stone, and Neal Jordan; granddaughters, Katy Jordan, Rebekah Jordan, and Praise Stone; and great-grandkids, Grayson, Braxton, Olivia, Mason, Ada Kay, and Topher.
