Steven Lyle Doak

Steve Lyle Doak, age 58, formerly from Aledo Texas, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 10, 2020 at his home in Granbury, Texas. Steve was born November 8, 1961 in Fort Worth Texas to George Doak, Sr. and Shirley (Champion) Doak. He was a 1980 Graduate of Aledo High School.

He took great pride in his children and grandchildren and his most treasured title was "PaPa". There are countless memories at the dinner table with many laughs, as he told stories of the numerous “R&R” trips he took to Thailand during the 10 years he worked as an Inventory Control Manager in Iraq for Brown & Root. Another true passion he had was building and working on cars.

Steve will be remembered fondly for his unique sense of humor, great wit, big heart, kind soul and his love for music.

He is survived by his 3 children, Samantha Doak, Amberly Andress, and Nicolas Doak; 5 grandchildren, Baillie Sessom, Gage and Brielynn Andress, and Royer and Amberli Doak; father, George Doak, Sr., and stepmom, Reada Doak; brothers, George Doak and wife Laquitta Doak, and Michael Doak, including many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

A public celebration honoring the life of Steve Doak, will be held at Glabreaith Pickard Funeral Home, Willow Park, TX on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Following the memorial, you are invited to join the family for lunch at Oakridge Church of Christ, Willow Park, TX.

In lieu of flowers, take your wife to dinner, your kids to a movie and/or play outside with your grandchildren.
