Shon Paul Novak

May 28, 1963 — June 14, 2019

Shon "Big Shon" Paul Novak, 56, passed away Friday morning, June 14, 2019 due to health complications. Shon was born May 28th, 1963 to Johnnie and Nita Novak in Fort Worth, Texas. Shon grew up on the north side of Fort Worth also attending and graduating from Northside High School.
Shon started out working in a meat packing plant and then moved up to driving a delivery truck. Later in life, he had pursued many jobs but, he always came back to truck farming just about anything he could grow or buy to sell for a living. He never cared about the money as much as he did about the people he met and talked to along the way.
In the summertime, it would never fail, you would see him parked on a street corner. Whether it was in Weatherford, Springtown, Azle or anywhere in between with his kids. All he would want to do was get out and meet with everyday folk that were not in such a rush to stop and talk, who might also buy a melon or two.
Shon is survived by his wife, Candis Hull Novak; daughter, Victoria May Ashley Novak; and two sons, Shon Paul Joe Novak and Clayton Layne Ryan Novak. Shon is also survived by a granddaughter, Ashlynne Gail Raley who was his world.
Visitation for Shon will be Tuesday, June 18th at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford from 6 to 8 p.m. Services for Shon will be at Brazos Trails Cowboy Church at 10 a.m. on June 19th. Please come out and celebrate his life with family and friends. Everyone that met or knew him, knew he didn’t want anything fancy but instead wanted company from anyone who was willing to talk.
