Shirley Jean Rawlins

Shirley Jean Rawlins passed on Friday, May 7, 2010, after a long illness. Celebration of life: will be held at her home on Bedford Court as an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Readings and sharings will be at approximately 2 p.m. All loved ones and friends are welcome to come by. Shirley was born March 27, 1942, Shirley's generous nature and commitment to the Lord, showed in her continuous contributions to others. She was an avid supporter of the Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.C. and Cecile Sloan; brother, Grover Sloan; and her loving husband, Jack Aberdeen Rawlins. Survivors: Her brother, Riley and wife, Frances Sloan; sister-in- law, Louise Sloan; children, Debbie Barnett, David Grimes, Delores and husband, James Gillespie, and Frank and wife, Patricia Smith. She was loved by 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
