Sarah Jean Jefferson

Sarah Jean Jefferson, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Sarah was born May 6, 1940 in Wortham, Texas to Fred and Pearlene Thomas. Mrs. Jefferson was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church and a homemaker. Sarah loved singing, cooking and taking care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother,  Fred D. Thomas II and daughter, Darla Jefferson-Polk.
Survivors: Husband, Rev. Curtis Jefferson Jr., daughter, Paula Jefferson-Gratts of Weatherford, sons, Doug Jefferson of Weatherford, Patrick Jefferson of Arlington, sisters, Hortense Woodard , Jewell Maddox, brothers, Bruce Thomas and Percy Thomas all of Fort Worth, granddaughters, Sarah Nicole Jefferson-Theriot, Andrianna Denee’ Jefferson-Polk.


Funeral service 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church. Burial in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 pm Friday at New Hope Baptist Church.
