Ruth Ann Beatty

Ruth Ann Beatty, age 77, passed from this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Ruth Ann was born May 29, 1946, in Whitt, Texas to Homer T. Presnall and Emma (Patton) Presnall. She married Gabie James Beatty and together they shared a wonderful life. She gave of herself by dedicating her life to her family and was a lovely homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. Ruth Ann enjoyed writing letters and Christmas cards and listening to her favorite music artists Loretta Lynn and Elvis, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Gabie James Beatty; parents, Emma and Homer Presnall; and sister, Linda Presnall Phillips.

Ruth Ann is survived by her son, Johnny W. Spencer and wife, Andrea; daughter, Emma L. Greer and husband, Doug; daughter, Ruth "Sam" Beatty; daughter, Sheila R. Bunn; stepson, William Gabe Beatty; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda and husband, Kenneth Kuhn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Whitt Cemetery, in Whitt, Texas, officiated by Brian Leatherman. Serving as pallbearers are: James Surginer, Tony Phillips, Shawn Kuhn, Tim Hartley, Matthew Spencer, and Isaiah Aparicio.
