Roy Church Greenfield

Roy Church Greenfield passed away on January 1, 2022, at 11:12 am, with his loving family by his side. Roy was born February 22, 1935, in Maury County, Tennessee to Gabe Thomas Sanford Greenfield and Alta Louise Dale Greenfield. When Roy was 6 months old his family moved to the Aledo-Annetta community, where he attended Aledo schools. Roy married Mary Gail Worden Greenfield in Weatherford on October 16, 1953. He went to work for American Mfg. Company of Texas in Fort Worth as a truck driver, hauling oilfield equipment to the Mid-West and Western Canada. In 1960, Roy started Greenfield Trucking and hauled loads from Galveston to Western Canada. He would then haul return loads from Washington, Oregon and Idaho to Dallas and Houston areas. In 1996, after 36 years, he retired from the trucking business. Before his declining health, Roy enjoyed going to the deer lease, elk hunting in Colorado, fishing and attempting to beat the odds at Winstar.
