Rose Jeanell Welch

Rose “Jeanell” Welch, 87, lifetime resident of Weatherford, passed away early on Thursday morning, September 24, 2020, in Weatherford.

Funeral service: 2 pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Center Point Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 pm, Monday, at the funeral home.

Jeanell was born on August 22, 1933 in Weatherford to Walter & Rosa Tucker. She married Thayer V. Welch on December 14, 1949 and together had two children, Trish and Carl. Jeanell worked for Lockheed Martin for several years. She was a member of Center Point Baptist Church in Weatherford. Jeanell will be remembered for being a loving a devoted wife, mother and a ‘Nanny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeanell is survived by her children, Trish and husband Dennis Meaders and Carl Welch; her grandchildren, Valerie Proctor, Dustin Meaders, Rachel McCune, and Natalie Perkins; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; by her sisters, “Dee” Parsons and “Corkey” Hyatt”; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to parents, Jeanell was preceded in death by her husband, Thayer V. Welch in 2016; and by her siblings, J.V. Tucker, Joy Dell Teague, and Doris Jean Kinback.
