Emblem

Lieutenant Commander Ronald Neal Beasley, 79, left port for his final deployment on Monday, January 23, 2023. “53 years married to your Mom without combat pay,” was his running joke. Born on November 8, 1943, in Corsicana, Texas, Ron was one of four children to the late Marian Elizabeth (Neal) Beasley and the late Lonnie Samuel Beasley. Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Marian “Becky” Elizabeth (Beasley) Howard and brother, Lonnie Samuel “Budd” Beasley II.

He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Ron graduated from the University of Texas and continued to follow the Longhorns with passion. He was a member of the Texas Exes, the official alumni association for the University of Texas at Austin. Ron was an avid student of history and would help anyone willing to understand how history was so vital to our nation and to the preservation of our Constitutional Republic. He loved his wife, Ann, of 53 years beyond description, and missed her daily since her passing on September 17, 2022.

Ron is survived by his three children; daughters, Allison Caroline (Beasley) Bayer and Jennifer Elizabeth (Beasley) Edwards; son, William Todd “Buck” Beasley; grandson, Tristan Beasley; granddaughter, Maddie Edwards; brother, Richard “Dick” Beasley and wife, Sue of Corsicana, Texas; and sister-in-law, Betty Lou Beasley of Harker Heights, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

Fair winds Dad….
