Robert Stanley Harrison

Robert Stanley Harrison, age 88 of Brock, Texas, beloved husband, father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather lost his battle to heart disease, diabetes and kidney failure.  Robert was born in Parker County in 1919 to Robert E. Lee and Fannie Bell Harrison. He was married to Juanita Scarbrough Harrison for 63 years. He spent most of his life in Parker County growing up in the Brock area. Attending Consolation and Brock school. Stanley was a 22 year veteran of law enforcement, serving as a policeman and deputy sheriff for the City of Weatherford for 10 years, and as assistant Chief and Chief of Police for the City of Fort Stockton, Texas. He retired as the superintendent of the water system for the Duval Sulphur mines of Culberson County in 1982 and moved back to the farm near Brock Texas. Stanley loved hunting and fishing, horse back riding, boating and just being out in the mountains or outdoors with his family. He was a devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, 2 brothers and 5 sisters, Elijah Harrison, Andy J. Harrison, Cora McNabb, Nell Jackson, Rachel Carambelas, Fannie Mae Harrison, and Catheryn Edwards.  Survivors include his wife, Juanita Harrison of Brock, and 4 children, Daughters Barbara Kneisley and husband George of Roswell New Mexico, Judy Pue of Brock, and sons Terry Harrison of Bay City, Texas, and Jackie Harrison of Brock. Seven Grandchildren, Jeff Robertson and wife Leah of San Antonio,Texas, Kristi Brown and Husband Brian of Billings, Montana, Courtney McDuffie and husband Jason Of Dallas,Texas, Ashley Kraft and husband Dan of Fort Worth, Ginger Dispain and husband Jack of Converse,Texas, Robert A. Harrison of San Antonio, Andy Harrison and wife Rachelle of Weatherford. Eleven Great Grandchildren, Victoria Robertson, Breanna Brown, Kallie Brown, Elijah Brown, Faith Dispain, Chase Dispain, Emily and Kaylee Robertson, Danielle and Allie Harrison. and Alexus Harrison. And numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service: 10:00 AM, Friday, November 9, 2007 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Harrison Family Cemetery Southwest of Brock. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
