Robert Orville Means

February 28, 1942 — June 12, 2010

Robert Orville Means was born on February 28, 1942 in Stamford, Texas, and passed from this life on June 12, 2010. He lived and worked most of his life in Parker County, with 18 years spent working in maintenance with the Weatherford Independent School District as a skilled tradesman.  Robert was stationed in Korea while serving in the U. S. Army from 1960 to 1961.  He made his home in Peaster and enjoyed growing and sharing vegetables from his garden, and spending time with family and friends and his dogs. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, S.A. and Ada Jean Means.  He is survived by his three children, Lisa Means, Kenneth Means and wife, Serena and Randy Means and wife, Penny, eight grandchildren, Shealana, Trevor, Kayla, Kearstin, and Colton Means, JD Doss, Cody Heintz, and Debbie Boyd, two great grandchildren, Dharma and Lucas Boyd and two sisters, Sandra Carroll and husband, Pete of Weatherford and Teresa Sosebee and husband, Jack of Denver.  An informal memorial service will be held at the fellowship hall of North Main Church of Christ, 1302 N. Main at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
