Emblem

Robert (Bob) Willard Logan was born April 1, 1930, in Elida, New Mexico, the youngest of 6 children. Even though the family moved several times and were financially disadvantaged, living in several houses with no electricity or running water, Bob didn’t feel deprived. From 8th-12th grade, he never missed a day of school nor was he ever tardy - a feat which made him quite proud. He served in the United States Navy 1948 to late in 1949, asking for early discharge in order to provide income for his disabled parents. He met the love of his life, Jean Bradford, and married her on September 9, 1950. Their family expanded with the birth of Brad in 1956, followed by Betty in 1962. During this time, Bob managed to work full time AND complete his BA at West Texas State College. After working for several government agencies, he landed at Social Security and flourished there for 30 years.

Bob is survived by Jean, his wife of 72 years; son, Brad Logan and wife, Toni; and daughter, Betty Thompson and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Rachel Faeber and husband, Ben; Michelle Randolph and husband, Joey, Rebekah Sutton and husband, Joe, Jordan Logan and wife, Chauncil, Aaron, Gideon and Hannah Logan, Jessica and Logan Thompson; and 6 great-grandchildren.
