Rob Stokes

December 18, 1918 — July 19, 2015

Rob Stokes, 96, of Weatherford, passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 19, 2015, in Willow Park. He was born December 18, 1918 in Afton, Texas and was a resident of Weatherford for many years. Rob was a Weatherford Police Officer and former Chief Deputy for the Parker County Sheriff’s office and retired as a peace officer.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Knights of Pythias and he enjoyed playing guitar, games, gardening and taking care of his family. Rob is survived by his wife of more than 77 years, Alma Stokes of Willow Park; son, Dick Stokes and wife, Rebecca of Willow Park; daughter, Lynn Frazier and husband, Phillip of Willow Park; seven grandchildren, Lonnie Stokes, Terri Stokes, Brad Stokes, Heath Frazier, Heather Wilhelm, Jason Anderson and Jeffery Anderson; nine great grandchildren, Tyler, Zaira, Fernie, Landry, Caleb, Luke, Eva, Colton and Chris.
 


Memorial service: 2 P.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Galbreaith Pickard Chapel.  Visitation: Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
