Richard Morris Biggs

Richard Morris Biggs, 76, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his residence. Richard was born February 15, 1944, in Garden City, Michigan to Albert and Mae Smallwood Biggs. As the owner of Autumn Homes, he was a successful home builder that formerly held an office with the Realtor Association. Richard was reared in North Side Baptist Church where he was involved in R.A. 's and the quartet, The Newborn Singers, however Richard had attended Couts United Methodist Church with his wife, Helen. He was also a member of The Optimist Club, The Kangaroo Booster Club and Boy Scouts of America. Richard competed in archery as a young man and later in life he enjoyed drag racing, playing golf, hunting with his son, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was an avid fisherman. One of his proudest moments was playing basketball for Weatherford College and East Texas State University. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his wife of 2 years and 3 months, Helen Biggs; children, Brenna Smith and husband Dave, Jr., Brian Biggs and wife Karen and Anissa Smith and husband James; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2021 also at Galbreaith Pickard with Marilyn and Clint Jones officiating.
