Richard Louis Gibbins

Richard Louis Gibbins was born 21 June 1947 into a military family in Richmond, Virginia. After enduring a long illness, he went home to be with his Lord and guardian angel Michael on 22 March 2013. He followed the family tradition of military service by enlisting into the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam (1970 – 1971), he was medically retired from the service in July, 1972. Richard is survived by his mother, Irene L. Duncan of Weatherford; his sister, Olga J. Lyons of Fort Worth; his two brothers, Lynn W. Gibbins and wife Tami and Kenneth A. Gibbins, Jr. and wife Melinda all of Weatherford. He leaves behind four nieces, two nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth A. Gibbins of Nocona, Texas.
 

There will not be a church service or visitation; Richard will be buried
in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Those
attending his funeral will need to be in Lane “C” at the National
Cemetery by 10:30 AM Wednesday, 27 March 2013.
