Randolph James Goetz

October 6, 1959 — January 11, 2023

Randolph James Goetz, 63, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Randy was born October 6, 1959, in Fort Devens, Massachusetts, to James Goetz and Barbara (Minton) Goetz. After relocating to Texas, he graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. Randy was known for his outgoing personality. He was always making friends and setting them at ease with his jokes; Randy was a people person, which helped in his profession as a Health and Life Insurance Manager.

He enjoyed watching sports and supported his local teams, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars, but nothing compared to the pride he felt watching his sons play baseball. Randy was affectionately known as "Grampie" to his eight grandchildren, and he was looking forward to the arrival of his ninth grandchild later this year. The true light of his life and greatest supporter was his loving wife, Melyndia Allison, to whom he was married for more than 25 years. Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Melyndia Allison of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Michael Foster with her husband Brad Foster and their children, Spider, Elvis, Knox, and Asha; son, Brandon Goetz and his wife Linzy Goetz with their children, Landon, Maverick, and Archer; son, Nathan Goetz with his wife Stephanie Goetz and their daughter, Brooks; father, James Henry Goetz; brothers, Andrew Lee Goetz and Steve Goetz; and numerous loving family and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Goetz.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
