Randal "Randy" Fred Dietz

Randal “Randy” Fred Dietz, 67, died Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Medical City Hospital in Weatherford, Texas. He was born December 30, 1952, in Oakley, Kansas, to Julius W. and Margaret Phares Dietz. Randy was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Weatherford. He graduated from high school in Satanta, Kansas. He went to Kansas State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He began his 42-year career with Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While working for H&P he lived in Oklahoma, Mississippi, California, Costa Rica, Texas and Colombia, South America.

Randy met Paula, his neighbor in California. They fell in love and had a long, beautiful life together raising their two girls. Their family enjoyed traveling together and regularly attending church services. Randy enjoyed fellowship with his friends and family, as well as golfing and fishing. He would be in Heaven, playing cards all night with his family.

Survivors include is wife, Paula; two daughters, Desiree Gray of Gresham, Oregon, Brandy and husband Johnny Qualls of Weatherford; a grandson, Avery and two foster granddaughters; a brother Rod and wife Judy; a sister, Julie; two nephews, John and David, his wife Ashley and their sons, Ben and Liam; his mother-in-law, Mozell Sims of Clayton, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 26, at First United Methodist Church in Weatherford with Joseph Nader officiating.
