Phil Edward Nixon

Phil Edward Nixon, 63, of Weatherford, passed away on Sunday January 27, 2008 in the local hospital. Born on April 21, 1944 in Eden, Texas to Jasper and Eva Nixon. Phil   loved hunting, fishing and all other outdoor activities. He was an excellent marksman,   and no dove was safe in his sights. Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Marion Nixon, and a brother, Marian Evan Nixon.He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Lois Nixon of Weatherford, TX, Mother- Eva Nixon of Weatherford, TX, Daughter- Kimberly Meatty of Abilene, TX, Sons- Shane Nixon of Abilene, TX, Kory Nixon of Abilene, TX, Step-Sons- Paul Hasley and Mariam currently in Iraq, Sean Hasley and Maria of Germany, Sister- Sheila Portwood and Brian of Cleburne, TX, Brothers- Shane Nixon of Alvarado, TX, Hugh Nixon and Carol of Alvarado, TX   Numerous Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews and many dear and close friends.   Memorial Service will be Saturday February 2, 2008 at 1pm in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Family request memorials be made to The American Cancer Society or Manna Store House in Weatherford.
