Peggy Ruth Doss

Peggy R. Doss, 81, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012.  Peggy was born March 11, 1930 in Brazos, Texas to Lundy N. and Celia Waldroop Wagnon. Mrs. Doss worked thirty-eight years before her retirement from Southwestern Bell.  She supervised the installation of fiber optics in far west Texas and was a longtime Odessa resident.  Peggy was a member of The Eastern Star and The Social Order of the Beauceant. She loved to travel. Mrs. Doss was preceded in death by her husband, G. E. “Cowboy” Doss. Survivors include her son, Ivan Doss; daughter-in-law, Aleesha; grandson, Jarrod Doss; sisters, Clara Jo Shelton of Fort Worth, Sue Chesnut of Brazos, Eva Wilson of Lipan and Catherine Farmer of Chandler and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Galbreaith Pickard Chapel.  A committal service will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
