Patsy Fay Partin

Patsy Thetford Partin, age 91, of Weatherford, formerly of Lubbock died on Wednesday, May 27,2009. Born November 25, 1917 in Horn Hill, Texas to James and Mary Thetford. Patsy worked at the VA Clinic in both Lubbock and El Paso before retiring in 1980. Since her retirement, she volunteered at Covenant Hospital two days a week in Lubbock, amassing over 2000 volunteer hours., She quilted with Ladies Quilters at LCC and participated in other Bible Classes at Sunset Church of Christ. She also crocheted hat and booties for newborns. Mrs. Partins love for her brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren will not soon be forgotten.. We will miss her dearly. She was always willing to help anyone in need until the very end. Until we meet again, our sweet momma. Preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Shugard, a Lubbock firefighter and father of her children and Eddie C Partin, one grandson, Jason Ray Shugard, best friend Elaine Gill, whom she traveled the world and siblings, Lillie Mae, Joe, Ted, Mary, Doris, Ludney and Earl. She was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ for over 30 years. Patsy moved to Weatherford in 2005 to be near her children Survivors: Son – Mike Shugard and wife, Lola of Mineral Wells Daughter – Barbara Shouse of Weatherford Patti of Mineral Wells Siblings – Laura Roberson of Portales, New Mexico Rodney Thetford of Portales, New Mexico Betty Turnbow of Clovis, New Mexico 5 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren host of nieces, nephews and friends.
 
Funeral service to celebrate Patsy’s life will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 29, 2009 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Greenwood Community Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to the Ladies Bible Class at Broadway Church of Christ in care of 1924 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas 79401.
