Patricia "Pat" Ann Nash

Patricia “Pat” Ann Nash, 89, of Weatherford, passed away early on Sunday morning, December 8, 2019, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 A.M., Friday, December 13, 2019, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.

Pat was born on May 2, 1930, in Seagraves, Texas to Alford and Viola Crowe. She married Edgar Jordan Nash on March 2, 1948 and together had one daughter, Patricia Elizabeth (Liz). Pat was a strong, life-long, born and bred Texan with a witty personality and great sense of humor. She loved taking care of her family and took pride in raising her granddaughters, Linsey and Whitney. She was a devout member of Church of Christ both in Seagraves and at South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford. Before retiring she worked at First National Bank of Weatherford as a bookkeeper for over 35 years. 

A woman of many talents, Pat loved telling stories, cooking traditional southern meals, rescuing and caring for dogs, gardening and keeping her family informed on current and political news events. Throughout her life she possessed great strength and tenacity. A strong willed and wise woman who proudly served as the matriarch and compass of her family. Pat will be remembered and dearly missed by her daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren and those she met along the way. In her words, with a broad smile at the end of every introduction, she would exclaim “Glad to know you!” For the lives she touched, it was wonderful to know her too.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Patricia Elizabeth Cook; her granddaughters, Whitney Alberter and Linsey Velez along with her great grandchildren, Brooke, Sidney, and Vincent Velez.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Edgar in 1986; and brother Alford Ceton Crowe, Jr.
